PLAYER OF THE MATCH – LAURA K

Laura was absolutely incredible between the sticks!  She pulled off some amazing saves throughout the game and did a fantastic job of controlling her box for the full 90 minutes.

Laura’s confidence has grown so much, and it’s brilliant to see her development paying off on the pitch. She showed great determination, bravery and leadership when the team needed her most, and she never gave up, even when things were tough.

 A thoroughly deserved Player of the Match! Laura, you were outstanding and we’re all so proud of how far you’ve come. Keep up the amazing work!

 FULL-TIME | PORTCHESTER DEVELOPMENT 7–0 SHERFIELD ENGLISH WOMEN

Despite the scoreline, the ladies can hold their heads high after a battling performance against Portchester Development, who sit top of Division 4 and remain unbeaten.

We went into half-time at 0–0, showing just how well we defended in the first half. We gave Portchester very little time on the ball, limited their chances and played some really good football ourselves, creating opportunities along the way.

Unfortunately, the second half proved more difficult, and we struggled to maintain that same level of performance against strong opposition. Unfortunately we lost two players to injury, one in the first half and another in the second.

A huge positive to take away is that first-half performance, which showed what we are capable of when we work hard for each other, stay organised and play our football.

Today, Wednesday 21/10/26 0830 I have again reported the 'subsidence' cracks on the Salisbury direction carriageway at Dunwood Hill, Hampshire Highways reference 21921302. Given the change in weather from extreme dry drought to torrential rain and increasing widening of these cracks on the steep side of a hill, I am concerned about partial road collapse. perhaps with little warning. The area has been marked up. I have asked for proposed repair plan and what studies have been done on the bank itself.... given today rain, 🤞for some answers soon and that the bank remains stable.

Southern Water have informed us that they are now planning to restart our work at Dunwood Hill on 11 January 2027. It seems that they have been listening to us after all:

"We've reviewed our plans and revised our approach to help reduce disruption. Instead of a full road closure, we'll now complete the work in smaller sections using temporary traffic lights.

We'll also be holding another drop-in event during December, giving you the opportunity to meet the team, find out more about the project and ask any questions you may have. Full details will be included in a letter."

Incident current on M27 completely closed Junction 2, Ower to Junction 1 both directions. Traffic chaos elsewhere. Check before you travel!
